Subject: FW: Memorial-Skyline
Reconductor FERC Mitigation Job
The Memorial-Skyline
138kV line was re-energized Friday afternoon. All of the switch
replacements needed for this project at Memorial and Skyline subs are
complete, and the only remaining work on this FERC project is to replace one set
of lightning arrestors at Skyline sub. This will be done later this month
by Danny Thompson's crew. While they have a clearance on this set of
arrestors, they will also repair a line switch that was found to need
repair. Parts have been obtained for this work.
Danny has some
additional work at Memorial sub (not associated with the FERC project), i.e.
motorizing two tie switches. This work will be scheduled for later this
summer.
I would like to
commend the following individuals and teams:
Richard Vinson
(Retired) & Bob Denney- Design of the transmission re-conductor
project
Jim Clemmer -
Substation Design at Memorial and Skyline
Red Simpson, Inc. -
Transmission line construction work
Legus Harjo -
Contract acqusition with Red Simpson
Mike Hames -
Coordination with Red Simpson
Danny Thompson's
Crew (Jerry Workman, Ron Gamble, Dave Garrison, & David Russell) - Sub
Construction work at Memorial & Skyline.
Roy Hoffman -
Coordination with Thompson's crew.
Laurie Tuggle -
Scheduling material delivery.
Robert Walker &
dispatchers - clearance issues
Others have had
involvement in this project on an as needed basis such as the heavy truckers,
storeroom personnell, Sub Ops (doing switching), purchasing, etc. (I am sure I
have left someone out).
Everyone worked well
as a team and our clearance window deadline of 4/30/2005 was met. The
teamshare date for final completion is 5/31/2005 and this will be met when the
lightning arrestors are replaced at Skyline.
Thanks again to all
involved.
